ABOUT KILKEE
Kilkee is situated on the west coast of County Clare and built around a horseshoe bay with a kilometre of golden beach and has the blue-flag status. The beach sweeps in a semi circular curve in front of the town and its smooth clean sands, washed daily by the Atlantic tides, afford excellent swimming. One of its main features is its very gradual slope towards the sea with virtually no current. This beach is the safest in Clare. Kilkee is located less than an hour from Shannon Airport and in the middle of the Wild Atlantic Way.
Swimming, diving, snorkelling, fishing and boating are some of the activities to enjoy. The Pollock Holes (natural swimming pools), located at the West End of Kilkee, are natural tidal pools and a very popular swimming location for adults and children alike.
